Getting started with Userreact
What Userreact is, creating an account during the beta, and the three steps to your first report.
Userreact lets the people who use your website or web app report bugs and suggest ideas without leaving the page. You add a small script to your pages; your visitors get a feedback widget; their reports land in your Userreact inbox with the page, the browser, any JavaScript errors and, if they choose, a screenshot.
Creating an account
Go to the sign-up page and fill in Name, Email, Password and Confirm password, then click Create account. Your passwords must be at least 8 characters.
Userreact is currently in a closed beta. While the beta runs, new sign-ups may be closed: the sign-up page then says "Userreact is in beta test. New sign-ups are closed for now." and the form is disabled. Registration will open once the beta ends.
When you sign up, an organization is created for you automatically and you are its owner. You land on the Dashboard.
Your first site in three steps
- Add a site. Open Sites in the side menu and click Add a site. Give it a name and the domain you want to collect feedback from (for example
app.acme.io). See Sites. - Install the widget. On the site's page, copy the snippet from the Install the widget card and paste it into your pages, in the
<head>or just before the closing</body>tag. See Installing the widget. - Identify your users. Sign each visitor's identity with your site's secret key so their reports are accepted straight away. Without signing, visitors confirm their email before their report reaches you. See Identifying your users.
The Dashboard's Widget card shows "Not installed", "Waiting for the first report" or "Installed and reporting", so you can check that the snippet works.
Finding your way around
The side menu (the bottom bar on a phone) has:
- Dashboard: an overview of reports received, the triage queue and your widget status.
- Reports: the inbox of every report from all your sites.
- Sites: your domains, their snippet, keys, settings and integrations.
- Settings: your profile and password.
- Log out.
The search box at the top ("Search reports, domains, report ids…") searches your reports. The Help icon next to it opens the Help assistant, which answers questions about Userreact and can pass you to a person on the support team. See Getting help and contacting support.
